At St George's we learn about British Values
We have been finding out about 'Great Britons'.
Our current School Council members are:

Across the school we have school council representatives from each class and a mix of boys and girls. Any child can choose to stand as a representative if they want to. The children prepare a speech and share it with their peers explaining how you think you could represent the class. The rest of the class will then vote on who they think will do the best job. Our school council representatives can be identified as they will be proudly wearing their school council badges!
At regular meetings, the team discuss various agenda items from which charity we would like to support to choosing winners for competitions as well as having an influence over policies such as the Relationships for Learning (Behaviour) Policy.
Our school council reps also help to evaluate our Collective Worship, are involved in staff recruitment as well as looking at local issues such as working with the Council to develop the local park.
