World Book Day Celebrations 2021
On Thursday 4th of March the children at St George's celebrated World Book Day in style. Every child made their own crown, themed around their favourite book. Each class met in person or via zoom to talk books and to share their creations. In Tavy, the children in class put on a show for the virtual audience by acting out the story A Tadpole's Promise. In Plym, the children took part in a literary quiz. In Lynher the children made puppets and wrote their own stories. In Tamar the children wrote book reviews and author studies. Each class had a virtual visit from our local library too. Staff from St George's read from their favourite books and shared stories via video. It is fair to say that we LOVE books and reading : )
