15.06.22 PSSP Primary Athletics for KS2 at Brickfields
Wow! What a fantastic day we have had at the PSSP Primary Athletics.
After performing our dance routine which we learned in dance club and performed at the year KS2 Dance Festival, we then competed against other schools from across the city in a range of races and field events from individual sprints, relays, vortex, vertical jump and long jump.
Every single child gave 100% and they should be extremely proud of themselves.
Our team got through to the finals in the year 3 girls and year 3 boys 60m sprint and the year 5/6 boys 80m x 5 relay team, with us taking overall first place in the girls 60m!
When we weren’t competing in races and events, the children took part
In The Shine Awards which were a variety of different activities including speeds bounce, shuttle runs, triple jump, standing long jump and foam javelin.
The school games values of passion, self-belief, determination, honesty, respect and teamwork were all displayed.
Once again a huge well done Team
St George’s!
Once again a photo opportunity with Perry the Birmingham Commonwealth Games Mascot was taken!
Thank you to parents for dropping your children to Brickfields today - we can’t do these events without your support too!
Big thank you to Hayley at PSSP for her time and effort teaching our dancers their routine and giving them an opportunity to perform at this event.
