St George's has gratefully received lottery funding to build the new Trim Trail. This project will enable our children to take part in a wide range of learning opportunities and activities linked to the new outdoor equipment. We aim to use it to support reluctant writing, social and emotion development, physical development of children's fine and gross motor skills and ultimately it's fun!
St George's - A place where we love to learn and learn to love.
All the children in our care at St George's take part in weekly PE sessions. These sessions are led by the class teacher and also by our chosen sports provider, District Sports. This company have a team of experienced staff who support our teachers to develop their teaching skills and understanding of PE. District Sports support us to offer a wide range of physical activities that will provide all children with a positive experience of PE. Whenever possible we aim to link PE to other areas of the curriculum and promote the SMSC ( spiritual, moral, social, cultural) curriculum.
PE in our school is led by Miss Rachael Coombes. Our Governors receive termly updates on how we are spending our PE legacy funding and the impact it is having on the children in our care.
